Video Rotation On Trimmer

To create engaging video content, you'll need to draw your viewer's attention from the moment he or she presses the play button on your video. The process of trimming any unnecessary footage from the start or the end of your video can help keep your audience engaged and will maximize the chances of it being watched until the end.

When trying to trim an initial video file, the users of your app will have the possibility to rotate it by 90 degrees. This can be done with the help of a new video rotation feature available in the trimmer's navigational menu. The latter will help them adopt the final content to a particular format they would want a video to have. The latter will, in turn, make it convenient to adopt a video file to a specific video platform or a device.

Slideshow Flow Is Now Merged With A Gallery

The gallery screen in our Video Editor SDK has two tabs - Video and Photo. It is now integrated with the slideshow creation flow from the app's gallery photos. The change makes the process of creating your next slideshow much faster and simpler because it reduces the number of tabs you have to visit to perform this operation.

The slideshow feature integrated into our SDK lets you share your life's experiences, cultivate a brand, build a following, and much more. It can also be augmented with text, GIFs, or music.

Possibility Of Exporting Videos In The Background

The latest release of our SDK lets you export videos to the app's gallery in the background. With this change, users don't need to wait until the video file is exported to access the next application screen.

Developers can also take advantage of our SDK's new parameter called “shouldClearSessionOnFinish” to define if all temporary files should be deleted or saved after export.

Reduction of the video bitrate

Video content can often be extremely heavy, especially if you compare it with images. Therefore, to make sure your videos will be watched by a maximum number of viewers, you should deliver your content in the most optimized way.

The new Video Editor release version 1.0.15 also saw us reducing the bitrate of the exported videos by 20% without the significant loss of its final quality to help your users optimize their video content and save the device's memory and resources.

The video quality parameters of the latest version of our SDK are presented in the table below:

Other improvements:

  • Some UX improvements in the photo and video gallery;
  • New Face AR mask called "Time Warp Scan" is similar to the one used on TikTok. Contact our sales team to get access to it;
  • When the commercial token expires, the exported video quality will be decreased to 360p with Banuba watermark added to it;
  • Devices, which are not supported by Video Editor SDK will display the corresponding pop-up message.

AR mask module is disabled on devices that don't support the corresponding functionality. The corresponding AR features will not work on those mobile phones.
