How Does AR Virtual Makeup Try-On Work?
There are two components to virtual makeup.
The first is face detection and tracking. This technology locates the person’s face and monitors its position in real time to accurately apply augmented reality effects. Banuba’s approach to this matter combines landmarks (facial features) and morphs (head positions) to ensure precision.
The second is digital makeup itself. Banuba uses a proprietary makeup digitization technology that takes into account color, pigmentation, and other aspects of each cosmetic. At the core, though, each makeup product is still an AR face mask.
