TINT – a guided virtual try-on web app

img-Tint-1-2Tint - a guided virtual try-on solution

TINT is a new addition to the Banuba product line. It is an innovative virtual cosmetics try-on tool designed to boost sales and decrease returns. Here are some of the things it has going for it:

  • AI beauty advisor. The system automatically conducts seasonal color analysis of the user to recommend the most suitable beauty products. This provides unparalleled personalization, increasing conversion rate and driving down returns.
  • Quick digitization. TINT comes with more than 22.000 products already digitized, and new ones can be added in mere hours. The rollout of the entire system takes under 2 weeks.
  • Realism. The colors and textures of the virtual products displayed in TINT are almost identical to the physical cosmetics. No competing solution can offer such a level of realism and accuracy.

Feel free to set up a demo and see how TINT can help your business.

Banuba FaceAR SDK

img-BanubaSDK-1 (1)Banuba FaceAR SDK

Our flagship product Banuba FaceAR SDK saw numerous improvements. Here are some of the most notable features:

  • Hand tracking/Hand skeleton model
  • Gesture recognition
  • Rings try-on
  • Eyebrow tracking and virtual makeup
  • Support for Flutter and React Native
  • Beautification/touch up improvements
  • Virtual try-on solution for rings, jewelry, bracelets, hats, and more

The SDK became even more streamlined, decreasing its RAM usage by up to 28% and boosting FPS by up to 30% in some cases. Finally, it now includes native support for Metal API, future-proofing the products that use the SDK and giving another performance boost on iOS devices.

In addition, it is now distributed as Cocoa Pods, Maven packages, and npm packages for the appropriate platforms. This makes integrating it even easier and faster than before.

Video Editor SDK

Video Editor SDK also received a lot of new additions.

  • New effects (Twitch, transition effects, etc.)
  • Zooming in/out when recording
  • New lip sync options
  • QHD support
  • Advanced analytics
  • User flow customization options

The most important thing, however, is the introduction of the Video Editor API as a separate product. It retains the core functionality of the SDK, while offering much more flexibility in UI customization. Some of the features (e.g. activity indicators and zooming in with a pinch gesture) will have to be developed from scratch, though, when using the API.

Success Stories

Eyebou

Eyebou is a major player in the eye health market. This company sells glasses, develops its own ophthalmological EHR solution, and offers an eyewear try-on application. Banuba provides Eyebou with certain key technologies, for example, distance measurement from eyes to the camera, face tracking, and eyewear try-on. In 2022, it was contracted by UNICEF for a humanitarian project that aimed to provide vision diagnostics for orphans in underdeveloped countries. Not only was it a success, testing 10.000 kids while saving the orphanages 70% on the related expenses, but it made Eyebou a vetted UN supplier, opening the way for contracts with other branches of the organization.

Bermuda

Bermuda is one of the most popular random video chats in the world. It has more than 20 million downloads, and the number of connections has long surpassed 4 billion. People enjoy the fun Bermuda provides, including great face filters from Banuba. In the first month, the features from Banuba SDK were launched about 15 million times.
